As Bata celebrates its 130th anniversary, the iconic footwear brand has taken a significant step towards modernisation by unveiling its largest office in India, located in the heart of Gurugram’s Millennium City. This new headquarters, built with sustainability and innovation at its core, represents Bata’s commitment to becoming a future-focused, eco-conscious organisation. The office sets a new benchmark for corporate spaces in India by receiving both Platinum LEED Grade-A and GRIHA certifications, a testament to its green design.

At the heart of this transformation is the concept of “Blue Sky Thinking,” which encourages limitless creativity and collaboration. The office’s design integrates open working spaces with a “hot seat” concept, enabling teams to work together flexibly. Modern amenities, including a wellness room, library, and creative spaces, aim to enhance employee comfort and productivity. Additionally, smart technology plays a pivotal role, with features such as interactive digital screens and facial recognition access further optimising the work environment.

“With 33% of the space benefiting from natural light, water recycling systems, solar power integration, and low VOC paints, this office exemplifies our commitment to sustainability,” said Gunjan Shah, Managing Director & CEO of Bata India. He added, “As we celebrate 130 years of global excellence, we’re stepping boldly into the future while staying true to our roots. Project Blue Sky represents Bata India’s evolution, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and employee wellbeing.”

Bata’s new office prioritises employee comfort and underscores the brand’s environmental responsibility. Solar power integration and natural lighting significantly reduce energy consumption, while water recycling systems further reflect Bata’s eco-conscious approach. Low VOC paints ensure minimal environmental impact, reinforcing the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.

In this innovative workspace, Bata combines tradition with modernity, ensuring the company remains rooted in its long-standing values while embracing cutting-edge design and smart working methods. Bata India’s headquarters is more than just a workplace; it symbolises the brand’s enduring legacy, innovation, and dedication to a sustainable future.
