Hyderabad is positioning itself as a key hub for coworking spaces, and IT Minister Sridhar Babu is emphasising the city’s competitive edge over other Indian metros. For years, IT infrastructure in Hyderabad was largely concentrated in the city’s western parts, such as Hitech City and Gachibowli. However, this latest development signals a significant shift, bringing much-needed coworking spaces and IT infrastructure to central Hyderabad. The minister noted, “This expansion will ensure that startups and small companies in central areas gain access to the resources they need to grow.”

The newly opened coworking space will stimulate the local startup ecosystem and drive the city’s overall economic growth. Minister Babu lauded the mall’s management for facilitating the initiative and called for similar efforts across Hyderabad to meet the rising demand. “We need more such spaces throughout the city to support startups and small enterprises,” he added.

The Telangana government is actively promoting coworking spaces as part of its broader strategy to enhance Hyderabad’s appeal as a business-friendly city. Efforts are underway to develop IT hubs surrounding the city, including the Outer Ring Road (ORR) corridor. These expansions aim to decentralise economic activity, attract investments, and create job opportunities in emerging business districts.
