Spanning nine floors, the CSIR Mega Innovation Complex is equipped with 24 advanced incubation labs, fully furnished office spaces, and dedicated networking zones to foster collaboration and accelerate business growth. The facility bridges research and commercialisation, supporting sectors such as healthcare, chemicals, energy, and materials science.
“By providing cutting-edge infrastructure and regulatory support, this complex will serve as a launchpad for innovations, ensuring that scientific advancements translate into real-world applications,” said Dr. Jitendra Singh during the inauguration. The initiative aligns with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision by nurturing homegrown enterprises and reducing dependence on foreign technologies.
Strategic Collaborations and Industry Partnerships
The CSIR Mega Innovation Complex has already begun fostering significant collaborations. During the inauguration, six Memoranda of Association (MOAs) were signed between CSIR and top institutions, including IIT Bombay, iCreate, and NRDC. These partnerships enhance research and development (R&D), promote knowledge-sharing, and strengthen industry-academia connections.
Moreover, 50 technology transfers have occurred between CSIR institutes and start-ups, MSMEs, and institutions, accelerating the commercialisation of scientific breakthroughs.
