WeWork India is leasing over 400,000 square feet across three key locations in Delhi and Gurgaon, marking a major expansion in the Delhi-NCR region. The leases include Prestige Trade Tower, Bharti Worldmark 6, and DLF Cyber City, as demand for flexible workspaces continues to surge in the area.
WeWork India is making significant strides in its expansion within the Delhi-NCR region by leasing over 400,000 square feet across three prime locations in Delhi and Gurgaon. As part of its ambitious growth strategy, WeWork is securing spaces at prestigious commercial hubs to meet the region’s rising demand for flexible office spaces.
The company is set to lease 148,000 square feet at Prestige Trade Tower near Delhi airport, 115,000 square feet at Bharti Worldmark 6 in Delhi’s Aerocity, and 140,000 square feet at DLF Cyber City in Gurgaon. According to Vibhor Jain, Managing Director-North India at Cushman & Wakefield, Aerocity has become a hotspot for global corporations, and the surge in demand is prompting flexible workspace providers to secure leases in advance.
WeWork’s expansion aligns with the growing trend in office leasing activity in the NCR region. Major commercial projects, such as Prestige Group’s entry into Delhi with the Prestige Trade Tower, contribute to this momentum. The tower, part of a 2 million square foot mixed-use development in Aerocity, also includes hotel rooms, office spaces, and a convention centre, positioning it as a significant commercial real estate venture in the capital.
In addition, Bharti Realty is developing a 6.5 million square foot global business hub in Aerocity, with a staggering investment of Rs 6,595 crore. The project aims to become a key business destination, with 3 million square feet dedicated to retail, including one of the largest malls in the area. Bharti Realty’s earlier phases, including Worldmark 1, 2, and 3, have already delivered about 1.5 million square feet of office and retail space.
WeWork’s strategic leases are a testament to the growing demand for flexible workspaces in India’s key business districts. As more global companies seek prime locations in Delhi-NCR, providers like WeWork capitalise on the trend, ensuring they are well-positioned to meet future demand for coworking and flexible office solutions.
