WeWork India achieves a milestone with 1 lakh operational desks nationwide, inaugurating a 1.1 lakh sq ft centre in Bengaluru. Expanding further, it plans new workspaces in Gurugram and Chennai by 2025. In a significant milestone, WeWork India has achieved an operational portfolio of 1 lakh desks across the country with the inauguration of its latest centre in Bengaluru. The new facility, IWF Campus, spans 1.1 lakh square feet over three floors, cementing the company’s position as a leader in India’s flexible workspace sector.

The newly launched workspace in the thriving Whitefield area underscores the increasing demand for coworking and flexible office spaces in India. “This milestone is a testament to the growing preference for agile workspaces that offer businesses of all sizes flexibility and convenience,” a spokesperson from WeWork India stated.

Expansion Plans on the Horizon

Continuing its growth trajectory, WeWork India has also signed a lease agreement with real estate developer DLF to open two additional workspaces in 2025. The upcoming centres will be in Gurugram and Chennai, marking WeWork’s fourth collaboration with DLF in Gurugram and its second venture in Chennai.

The Gurugram workspace, which is spread across 1.17 lakh square feet, will feature two floors with over 1,400 desks. In Chennai, the company plans to open a two-floor facility in Manapakkam, offering over 1,900 desks across 1.26 lakh square feet. These developments cater to the burgeoning demand for coworking spaces in key metropolitan hubs.

Growth Story: From Bengaluru to Eight Cities

WeWork India began its journey in 2017 with its first centre in Bengaluru and has since expanded its presence to eight cities nationwide. Over the years, the company has capitalized on the growing trend of hybrid work models, attracting freelancers, startups, and enterprises.

“Bengaluru has always been a cornerstone of our operations, and we’re thrilled to contribute to the city’s dynamic business ecosystem,” said the spokesperson. The new additions to their portfolio reflect a strategic focus on catering to a diverse clientele with state-of-the-art facilities.
