WeWork India has launched WeWork Lightbridge in Powai, Mumbai, adding nearly 2,000 desks to its flexible workspace portfolio. Blending innovative design with strategic location benefits, the new centre caters to rising demand from businesses and GCCs, offering premium amenities and seamless connectivity for teams of all sizes.
WeWork India has unveiled its latest flexible workspace, WeWork Lightbridge, in Mumbai’s commercial hotspot of Powai. Spread across three floors and accommodating nearly 2,000 desks, this new centre underlines the company’s push to meet the city’s growing demand for premium coworking spaces.
“The launch of WeWork Lightbridge marks a significant milestone for us,” said Arnav S. Gusain, Chief of Supply at WeWork India. “As the demand for flexible workspaces continues to rise, we remain committed to providing innovative, design-forward spaces that enable businesses and professionals to thrive.”
The opening comes when Mumbai rapidly emerges as a hub for multinational corporations and Global Capability Centres (GCCs), with over 365 GCCs already operating in the city. Although Bengaluru leads the count, Mumbai remains close behind, intensifying the need for high-quality work environments.
WeWork Lightbridge blends functionality with cutting-edge design. Mumbai’s architectural heritage influences the interiors and incorporates mechanical-inspired aesthetics, bold accent colours, and creative lighting solutions that bring light into deeper areas of the building. Highlights include hand-painted tile installations inspired by Maharashtra’s craftsmanship and artful Lino paintings of local seascapes.
Strategically located, Lightbridge is well-connected to essential city infrastructure. It offers easy access to the international airport, metro stations like Saki Naka, significant roads, premium hotels such as JW Marriott and ITC Maratha, and key healthcare facilities like Hiranandani Hospital. Its central location makes it ideal for businesses ranging from solopreneurs to enterprise teams.
Harsh Hiranandani, Director at House of Hiranandani Group, commented, “We’re delighted to collaborate with WeWork India… we are confident this project will facilitate flex working for businesses across industries in the city.”
The new space includes conference rooms, wellness zones, and a spacious lounge floor for managed operations. With this expansion, WeWork India strengthens its presence across eight cities and adds to its nationwide network of over 100,000 desks, serving a diverse clientele from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
By merging intelligent design, sustainability, and accessibility, WeWork Lightbridge is not just another coworking centre—it’s a reflection of Mumbai’s evolving work culture.
