YEIDA Unveils Future-Ready, Green Office Hub Near Yamuna Expressway in Noida

YEIDA’s new 27,800-square-meter office near the Yamuna Expressway in Noida is set to be a model of sustainable, future-ready design. With features like a rooftop solar plant, EV charging stations, and a 5-star GRIHA rating, the facility aims to blend green architecture with modern, people-first workplace amenities.

A new office development by YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) is poised to set a benchmark for green architecture and smart city planning in India. Located just 100 meters from the high-speed Yamuna Expressway, the upcoming 27,800-square-meter facility will serve as an administrative hub and a model of future-ready, environmentally-conscious design. With the capacity to accommodate up to 800 professionals, the facility is designed to be a cornerstone of sustainable development and innovative governance.

The project, designed by YEIDA’s in-house urban design team, includes several cutting-edge sustainability features. A rooftop solar power plant, electric vehicle charging stations, and a green-rated building envelope are just a few of the eco-friendly elements integrated into the design. The facility’s layout is optimised to maximise daylight and energy efficiency. YEIDA targets a 5-star GRIHA rating, India’s highest green building certification, further emphasising the state government’s commitment to low-carbon development.

This office is not just a workspace; it represents a broader shift in how public infrastructure is designed. “This is not just an office; it’s an ecosystem for progressive governance,” said a senior official involved in the planning. In addition to traditional office amenities, the facility will feature a crèche, gymnasium, library, and bank, ensuring a holistic environment for the modern workforce. A central plaza will also encourage collaboration and social engagement, while high-speed lifts, secure entry points, and CCTV surveillance will prioritise safety without compromising the building’s aesthetic openness.

Supporting infrastructure will include service roads, a fortified boundary wall, controlled entry and exit gates, and dedicated parking bays, further enhancing the project’s functionality. The design aims to break away from the traditional, sterile, institutional office buildings of the past, reflecting a people-first approach to public architecture. The facility’s thoughtful design emphasises the need for an inclusive, human-centric space.

The new YEIDA office is strategically located next to one of North India’s most important economic corridors, further enhancing its role as a catalyst for regional growth. The proximity to the Noida International Airport and planned logistics hubs will position it as a vital administrative centre supporting industrial expansion. As India continues to invest in infrastructure under initiatives like the Smart Cities Mission and National Infrastructure Pipeline, this project underscores the nation’s evolving approach to urban development.

In a country where infrastructure is increasingly seen as a tool for equity and sustainability, YEIDA’s decision to prioritise green building practices and inclusive design may set a new standard for future public projects. This office building is more than just a functional space—it symbolises how ecological responsibility and administrative efficiency coexist, shaping the future of urban development in India.
