Jitendra Mohandas Virwani, Chairman and Managing Director of Embassy Group, has transitioned to Non-Executive Chairman of WeWork India. His industry expertise will continue to shape the company’s growth strategy. Meanwhile, Karan Virwani, now Managing Director and CEO, has taken on an expanded role, steering the company toward sustainable and impactful growth.
New Expertise Joins the Board
WeWork India has brought Mahua Acharya and Anupa Rajiv Sahney as Independent Directors. Acharya, an expert in climate finance and electric mobility, and Sahney, an experienced consultant active in corporate and advisory boards, will enhance WeWork India’s sustainability efforts and corporate governance.
Adnan Ahmad, currently a board member at WeWork Inc. and senior advisor at Yardi Systems, Inc., joins WeWork India’s board, succeeding David Mayland. Additionally, Manoj Kumar Kohli transitioned to an Independent Director role on September 27, 2024, further strengthening the board’s governance structure.
