Coworking startup Innov8 has announced ambitious expansion plans to double its centres across India by 2025, responding to surging demand in the flexible office space sector. Operating over 45 centres with approximately 17,000 seats, Innov8’s footprint spans significant cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. “Our decision to double the number of Innov8 centres is backed by the consistent increase in inquiries, higher occupancy rates, and the evolving needs of modern professionals,” said Innov8’s founder, Ritesh Malik.

This expansion will involve scaling up the capacity to over 50,000 seats, nearly three times its current count. Alongside adding new centres, Innov8 plans to transition towards larger workspaces that can better accommodate the growing number of freelancers, startups, SMEs, and large enterprises seeking flexible office solutions.

The shift reflects broader market trends; according to a report by private equity firm Avendus, India’s coworking market is expected to grow to 126 million square feet by 2028, a significant jump from 61 million square feet in 2023. As more global capacity centres (GCCs), startups, and established enterprises embrace coworking, flexible office spaces are becoming integral to India’s evolving work environment, driving productivity, collaboration, and cost efficiency.
