Nike Plans Bengaluru Corporate Campus by FY28 as India Operations Expand

Nike is planning a new corporate campus in Bengaluru by FY28 as it expands its operations in India. The facility will bring Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse teams together, with employees moving in phases. While the investment remains undisclosed, the project adds another major global occupier to Bengaluru’s office market.

Nike is preparing to establish a new corporate campus in Bengaluru by FY28, strengthening its presence in one of India’s largest office markets. The planned facility will support operations across Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse, with full-time employees currently based in India expected to move to the new site in phases.

The sportswear company has not yet disclosed the campus location. More details, including the size, investment, employee capacity and specific site, are expected when Nike announces the location in 2027.

The move forms part of Nike’s broader effort to strengthen its operating model and build greater capabilities in key markets. India is increasingly important to the company as both a consumer market and a manufacturing hub.

Campus to Bring Three Brands Together

The Bengaluru campus is expected to create a more integrated workplace for Nike’s India teams across its three brands. The company plans to use the facility to support local talent, product development and business operations while strengthening its connection with athletes and consumers in the country.

Nike’s India strategy also extends beyond corporate functions. The company sees opportunities to build manufacturing capabilities and capitalise on India’s expanding commercial potential.

The campus is therefore being planned as a long-term corporate base rather than simply an additional office. Employee migration is expected to begin in phases from FY28.

Bengaluru Continues to Attract Global Occupiers

Nike’s decision comes as Bengaluru continues to play a major role in India’s commercial office market. The city accounted for 24.7% of gross office leasing across the country during the first half of 2026, making it the largest contributor among major Indian office markets.

India recorded approximately 37.9 million sq ft of office leasing during the period, with global organisations accounting for 55.2% of total activity.

Bengaluru recorded around 4.1 million sq ft of leasing in the second quarter, although activity declined from the previous quarter. Despite short-term fluctuations, the city continues to attract companies that require access to technology talent, skilled professionals and established business infrastructure.

Corporate Expansion Supports Office Demand

Nike’s planned campus adds another global brand to Bengaluru’s corporate office ecosystem. Its decision also reflects how multinational companies are building longer-term operating capabilities in India rather than relying only on smaller or fragmented office footprints.

For the commercial real estate market, the announcement is significant, although its direct impact cannot yet be measured. The absence of a confirmed location and campus size means the potential office absorption remains unclear.

The project could nevertheless create demand for a substantial corporate workplace once details are finalised. It may also support Bengaluru’s position as a preferred destination for global companies seeking access to talent and business networks.

Nike is expected to announce the campus location in 2027, with employee relocation and capability expansion planned over the following years. Until then, the proposed campus signals the company’s longer-term commitment to Bengaluru and India’s wider corporate real estate market.
