CBRE has appointed Suchithra R as Senior Director – India Leasing, based in Bengaluru. With over 15 years of experience across leading real estate advisory firms, she will drive leasing advisory and transactions nationwide, strengthening CBRE’s client-focused approach amid shifting occupier demand and evolving office market dynamics in India.
CBRE has announced the appointment of Suchithra R as Senior Director – India Leasing, marking a strategic move to deepen its leasing advisory and transaction capabilities across major Indian markets. Based in Bengaluru, Suchithra will play a central role in guiding occupiers and landlords through an increasingly complex and competitive commercial real estate environment.
Her appointment comes at a time when India’s office market is being reshaped by global capability centres, hybrid work strategies, and rising demand for flexible and managed workspaces. CBRE’s focus on reinforcing senior leadership reflects the need for market-led, data-driven leasing solutions that respond to both occupier requirements and long-term portfolio strategies.
A Proven Track Record in Advisory and Transactions
Suchithra brings more than 15 years of experience spanning real estate advisory, tenant representation, and corporate services. Prior to joining CBRE, she spent over eight years at Cushman & Wakefield, where she served as Senior Director and South India Lead for APAC Tenant Advisory & Transactions. In this role, she was instrumental in driving large-scale leasing mandates, complex portfolio strategies, and regional growth across key southern markets.
Her career also includes senior leadership roles at JLL, including AVP – Office Advisory & Transactions and AVP – Business Development for Integrated Facilities Management. These roles allowed her to work closely with occupiers on end-to-end real estate solutions, from site selection and leasing to workplace strategy and operational alignment.
Building a Client-Centric Leasing Platform
In her new role at CBRE, Suchithra will focus on strengthening the firm’s India leasing platform with an emphasis on client-centric advisory, execution excellence, and market intelligence. As occupiers reassess office footprints, prioritise flexibility, and seek value-driven outcomes, leasing advisory has become less transactional and more strategic.
CBRE’s India leasing business increasingly supports multinational corporations, GCCs, domestic enterprises, and fast-growing startups, all of whom are navigating questions around location strategy, cost efficiency, talent access, and workspace design. Suchithra’s experience across tenant advisory and integrated services positions her well to address these evolving needs.
Early Career and Cross-Sector Experience
Before moving into core real estate advisory, Suchithra built a strong foundation in sales, business development, and account management across diverse sectors. Her early career included roles at Lavazza Group, Sodexo SVC India Pvt. Ltd., and Ahalia Medical Group. This cross-sector exposure has shaped her approach to client engagement, solution-building, and long-term relationship management.
A Strategic Move for CBRE India
With this appointment, CBRE reinforces its commitment to investing in leadership talent that can navigate India’s dynamic office market. As leasing decisions become more closely tied to business performance, workforce strategy, and long-term growth, experienced leadership will play a critical role in delivering outcomes that go beyond square footage.
Suchithra R’s elevation signals CBRE’s intent to stay ahead of market shifts while continuing to deliver integrated, market-driven leasing solutions across India’s commercial real estate landscape.
