Table Space has signed a renewable energy agreement with CleanMax to power more than 500,000 sq. ft. of managed office space through a 2.7 MWp Group Captive Solar project. The partnership supports cleaner workplace operations, helps enterprise clients reduce carbon emissions, and strengthens sustainability across the flexible office sector.
Managed office provider Table Space has announced a long-term renewable energy partnership with CleanMax, marking another step toward sustainable workplace infrastructure in India. Under the agreement, CleanMax will develop and operate a 2.7 MWp Group Captive Solar project in Karnataka, supplying clean electricity to Table Space’s managed office centres across the state upon commissioning.
The initiative will directly support more than 500,000 sq. ft. of enterprise office space while enabling Table Space to retain the environmental attributes generated by the solar project. The move reflects a growing shift among workspace providers to integrate renewable energy into daily operations as enterprises place greater emphasis on environmental responsibility and ESG commitments.
Supporting Enterprise Sustainability Goals
Corporate occupiers today are under increasing pressure to measure and reduce emissions across every aspect of their operations, including the workplaces they occupy. By sourcing power through a captive solar model, Table Space aims to provide businesses with a cleaner, more transparent energy supply that directly supports their sustainability targets.
Explaining the company’s vision, Kunal Mehra, President & Co-CEO of Table Space, said, “At Table Space, we believe sustainability is becoming a defining pillar of enterprise infrastructure.” He added, “Partnering with CleanMax is our way of putting that belief into practice by ensuring the energy that powers our facilities is clean, captive, and purpose-built for our centres.”
The partnership not only reduces the environmental footprint of Table Space’s operations but also helps enterprise clients strengthen their own decarbonisation strategies without compromising on workplace quality or operational efficiency.
CleanMax Brings Renewable Expertise
CleanMax, India’s largest commercial and industrial renewable energy company, will be responsible for developing and operating the solar project. The company believes the partnership demonstrates how commercial real estate can play a meaningful role in supporting India’s transition toward cleaner energy.
Commenting on the collaboration, Kuldeep Jain, Founder and Managing Director of CleanMax, said, “CleanMax’s mission is to be the net-zero partner to corporates looking to cut down on their carbon footprint.” He further noted, “This partnership establishes renewable energy infrastructure that is purpose-built for their facility, and we are pleased to be the partner they have chosen to build it with.”
The Group Captive model also provides long-term operational certainty by embedding renewable energy directly into the facilities rather than relying solely on traditional grid power.
A Growing Focus on Green Workspaces
Founded in 2017, Table Space has rapidly grown into one of India’s leading managed office providers. The company manages more than 11 million sq. ft. of workspace across 80+ centres in nine major Indian cities, serving over 425 enterprise clients, including several Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 companies.
As businesses increasingly prioritise sustainable workplaces alongside flexibility, partnerships like this are expected to become more common across the coworking and managed office industry. Renewable energy, smart building technologies, and ESG-focused workplace strategies are emerging as key differentiators for operators competing in India’s evolving commercial real estate market. Table Space’s collaboration with CleanMax reflects how sustainability is becoming an integral part of the future of enterprise workspaces rather than simply an added feature.
