Awfis Space Solutions has unveiled its first premium Gold Centre at Eleven West, Baner, Pune, marking a shift in the city’s flex workspace market. With plans to open multiple Gold and Elite centres across tier-1 and tier-2 cities, the company aims for 30% revenue growth and significant seat expansion in FY26, riding the rising demand fuelled by GCCs and multinationals.
Pune’s Premium Workspace Boom
Awfis’s first Gold Centre in Pune is designed for premium clients seeking high-end amenities and flexible office space. Located in Baner, the centre targets progressive businesses and global capability centres (GCCs) looking to tap into Pune’s dynamic talent pool and infrastructure. This launch follows successful Gold and Elite formats in other metros, with Pune’s progressive commercial landscape making it the ideal next step for Awfis’s top-tier portfolio.
Expansion Plans for FY26
The company’s Chairman & MD, Amit Ramani, revealed that Awfis aims to add around 40,000 new seats and open as many as 40 new centres across India during FY26. Of the total portfolio, flagship standard offerings will comprise roughly 85%, while the premium Gold and Elite products are expected to contribute 15%. In addition to Pune, expansion is planned for major metros and select tier-2 cities, responding to demographic shifts and infrastructure growth that attract large multinationals and GCCs.
Drivers of Flex Space Demand
GCCs are identified as the driving force behind the current coworking surge, offsetting slower growth in IT/ITeS sectors. India’s robust economic outlook, expanding digital ecosystem, and progressive urban infrastructure continue to lure companies needing innovative workspace solutions. Awfis’s premium centres offer flexibility, premium amenities, and scalable options tailored for both global firms and ambitious startups. Simultaneously, the firm is cautious about tier-3 city expansion, citing limited compliant supply, but remains optimistic about tier-2 cities as demand intensifies.
Addressing Corporate Needs
Awfis’s diversified product strategy ensures workspace flexibility for clients—from startups to large enterprises—through tailored solutions featuring cutting-edge furniture, collaboration zones, and tech-driven features. Pune’s Gold Centre is poised to serve evolving client demands for style, efficiency, and scalability while strengthening Awfis’s brand as a pan-India leader in flexible workspaces.
The FlexInsights Take
Pune’s ascent in India’s coworking scene mirrors the evolving needs of modern enterprises. Awfis’s bold Gold Centre launch signals the city’s readiness for premium workspace experiences, driven by smart design and flexibility. With GCC-led demand, digital transformation, and a focus on quality, Pune’s coworking sector is set for an era of sustained innovation and growth—where the only limit is how flexibly companies can adapt.
