Industries Minister P. Rajeeve visited ‘i by Infopark’ at Ernakulam South Metro, praising its “world-class facilities.” The 48,000 sq ft, seven-floor site offers 580+ workstations, direct station entry, and Kerala’s first neurodiversity-friendly coworking design. With Zoho leasing an entire floor, the project targets freelancers, startups, MNCs, and GCCs, with statewide expansion planned.
Ten days after its inauguration, Kerala’s Industries Minister P. Rajeeve toured ‘i by Infopark’—the premium coworking hub inside the Ernakulam South Metro Station building—and lauded its “world-class facilities.” Joined by Kochi Mayor M. Anilkumar and senior leadership from Infopark and Kochi Metro, the Minister framed the site as a growth enabler for the city’s tech and services economy. He added that the direct entry from the metro “will benefit both entrepreneurs and professionals,” positioning the asset as a true transit-oriented workplace.
Scale, Spec, and Speed to Occupy
Spanning 48,000 sq ft across seven levels (from the third floor upward), the centre features over 580 workstations and a plug-and-play fit-out, including furnished private offices, open bays, meeting and conference rooms, event and training spaces, a lounge, collaboration areas, phone booths, and a pantry. Zoho has fully leased the fourth floor, underscoring enterprise confidence in the location’s readiness and operational resilience.
A Multimodal Advantage in the Urban Core
The address drops teams into the city’s best-connected node. Beyond the metro concourse, ‘i by Infopark’ is situated steps from Ernakulam Junction railway station, the KSRTC bus stand, the Water Metro, the boat jetty, and feeder buses. For occupiers optimising total commute time and cost per seat, the combination of Grade-A specs and seamless access can compress ramp-up timelines and stabilise attendance.
Neurodiversity-Friendly by Design
This is Kerala’s first coworking destination intentionally designed to support neurodiverse professionals, including those with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and dyslexia. Each floor emphasises a specific sensory mode—‘sight’ (special wallpapers and tiles), ‘taste,’ ‘smell,’ ‘touch,’ and ‘hearing’—to reduce overload and improve focus. That inclusive blueprint aligns with global workplace standards and strengthens talent retention for employers with diverse teams.
A Platform for Freelancers, Startups, and GCCs
From freelancers and gig workers to multinational enterprises and global capability centres, the tenant profile is broad by design. Flexible workspace models enable companies to scale their seating capacity in line with product cycles, while event and training rooms support onboarding and ongoing learning. With Zoho already established and the state’s IT department signalling similar centres across Kerala, the pipeline for institutional-grade, service-rich flex space is poised to deepen.
What It Means for Kochi’s CRE Market
‘i by Infopark’ blends three powerful themes: transit-oriented development, inclusive design, and enterprise-ready amenities. For the Kochi office market, this mix can attract premium occupiers who value predictable access, lower capital expenditure, and faster time-to-productivity. As expansions roll out statewide, expect stronger absorption, healthier utilisation, and a more transparent case for flex as core strategy—not just overflow.
