Microchip Technology, a US-based semiconductor giant, has acquired 1.72 lakh sq ft of office space in Bengaluru’s Whitefield for ₹176 crore, making it one of the city’s largest commercial property transactions this quarter. The deal covers two blocks in the EPIP Zone, a prime eastern IT corridor, and ranks among the premium acquisitions with a value of around ₹10,230 per sq ft.

Deal Details

The purchased asset from Ascendum Solution India, part of the Cincinnati-headquartered Vora Group, includes blocks of 92,098 sq ft and 80,395 sq ft, each spanning a basement, ground, and three upper floors. Whitefield’s strong connectivity and infrastructure continue to attract global tech and R&D companies.

Microchip’s acquisition is part of its expansion strategy to consolidate and strengthen its India operations, leveraging Bengaluru’s position as a major semiconductor and electronics hub.
