Rolls-Royce has deepened its roots in India by opening its largest and most advanced Global Capability Centre (GCC) at Manyata Embassy Business Park, Bengaluru. With a capacity for 700 professionals, the centre will drive innovation across engineering, digital services, and business operations, establishing Bengaluru squarely on the world map for aerospace and technology leadership.
Historic Legacy Meets Future Growth
With a legacy spanning 90 years in India, Rolls-Royce engines have supported the Indian Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard on more than 1,400 aircraft, ships, and vehicles. The new centre marks a significant expansion of Rolls-Royce’s manufacturing, research, and design capabilities in India, now employing more than 3,000 professionals nationwide, of whom 2,000 are engineers based in Karnataka.

The GCC strengthens Bengaluru’s reputation as a top global destination for aerospace investment, digital engineering, and advanced manufacturing. Karnataka has cultivated an ecosystem of major international players—Boeing, Airbus, and Mahindra, among others—helped by pro-business policies and a thriving innovation culture. Rolls-Royce’s centre will leverage this network for next-generation technology solutions and supply chain excellence.

Within the facility, teams will focus on engineering design, digital transformation, HR, procurement, finance, and data analytics—all critical drivers of global business performance. The GCC aims to double Rolls-Royce’s sourcing from India within five years, integrating Indian supply partners and nurturing high-skilled talent to tackle aerospace challenges and fuel sustainable growth.

India’s GCC sector is growing rapidly, set to employ more than 2.1 million people by the end of 2025 and contribute 3.5% of GDP by 2030.
