Beyond showrooms, Tesla has also leased 33,475 sq ft in Gurugram’s Orchid Business Park, aiming to create India’s first combined sales, service, and delivery center for the brand.

TheFlexInsights Take

Tesla’s Delhi Aerocity lease signals a clear commitment to the Indian market and a sophisticated approach to brand-building. By being situated in high-end commercial locations with strong airport and metro connectivity, Tesla is targeting the premium, tech-savvy urban consumer and creating seamless experiences for both test drives and after-sales care. The escalated investments in Delhi and Gurugram, alongside Mumbai, lay a strong foundation ahead of any local manufacturing announcements. This fast-paced rollout demonstrates Tesla’s global playbook: build visibility, customer trust, and service coverage before scaling product offerings.

For the flexible workspace industry and retail property owners, Tesla’s move also acts as a strong signal of confidence in India’s premium commercial real estate and the internationalisation of the country’s high-value retail corridors.
