UiPath Expands India Presence with New 25,000 sq. ft. Innovation Hub in Bangalore

UiPath has opened a new 25,599 sq. ft. office in Bangalore’s Embassy Tech Village – Onyx. The hub will house Product & Engineering teams in India, responsible for nearly 25% of global R&D. Designed for collaboration, wellness, and sustainability, it supports rapid growth and agentic-AI product development.

UiPath has expanded its India footprint with a new 25,599 sq. ft. office at Embassy Tech Village – Onyx in Bangalore, adding a sizeable managed workspace to its growing tech portfolio. The site will operate as a strategic innovation hub for UiPath’s Product & Engineering (P&E) teams in India, which contribute nearly 25% of the company’s global research and development work.

A hub for cross-continent product building

The new office is designed to strengthen day-to-day collaboration among product, engineering, UX design, and site reliability engineering teams. These groups will continue building the UiPath Platform in close sync with development centres in India, Europe, and the United States. Gautam Goenka, SVP of Engineering & Site Head at UiPath, said the facility gives teams “the space and environment our developers need to collaborate, experiment, and create solutions” that deliver meaningful impact for customers worldwide.

Experience-led workplace design

UiPath’s Bangalore hub follows a flexible, people-first layout rather than a conventional fixed-seat office. The space includes ergonomic workstations for focused work, collaborative zones for agile sprints, and training areas that can adapt to workshops, onboarding, and internal learning programs. Wellness and recreation are built into the floorplate through a dedicated game and wellness room, while a bright cafeteria doubles as a social anchor for informal team interaction. The overall design is meant to support productivity, creativity, and retention — key priorities for global tech occupiers scaling engineering talent in India.

Sustainability is embedded into the build

The company also highlighted sustainability choices in the fit-out. By maximising natural light and using energy-efficient fixtures, the workspace aims to reduce energy load while improving employee comfort. This aligns with a broader trend in commercial real estate where technology firms increasingly evaluate environmental performance alongside cost and location, especially in premium campuses. For developers and flex operators, such expectations are fast becoming standard for large global tenants.

India’s accelerating strategic role

Beyond the physical expansion, the announcement underscores India’s growing weight in UiPath’s global strategy. Chief Technology Officer Raghu Malpani noted that UiPath’s operations in India are growing at “an annual rate of 15–20 percent,” reflecting the country’s widening remit in core product and technology work. He added that solutions built in India are already used by enterprises worldwide, and linked the new office to UiPath’s next frontier — agentic AI. As automation evolves from rule-based scripts to AI agents that can plan, act, and learn, UiPath is positioning its India engineering bench as a key driver of reliability, security, and measurable ROI.

What will this centre build next

Teams based in the new facility will focus on a pipeline of priority products, including UiPath Maestro, Data Fabric with Ontology support, UiPath Test Cloud, low-code and pro-code app development platforms, and Human-in-the-Loop experiences through UiPath Action Centre. Continued work on industry-specific solutions is expected to deepen UiPath’s product leadership and increase India’s influence on the company’s global automation roadmap.

For Bangalore’s office market, the move adds another example of a global software leader choosing high-quality, managed space to scale engineering capacity. For UiPath, it is a clear bet that India will remain a primary innovation engine as enterprise automation enters its AI-native phase.
